“Disappear, Return Stronger Part 2…” Healing in Private!

This is the second episode of the 5-part miniseries, “Disappear, Return Stronger: Go unseen. Grow Unbroken. Return whole.” in the Lynda: Rooted&Real podcast.
In ‘Disappear, Return Stronger Part 2’, Lynda reflects on the beauty of healing away from public view. Personal growth does not always need an audience.
Some changes take shape in quiet, ordinary moments: making time to rest, facing difficult feelings, or choosing what matters without seeking approval. These private steps can help a person understand what they need and build a steadier sense of self.
Lynda invites us to value our own pace rather than compare our progress with someone else’s. There is no need to explain every choice or share each setback as it happens. By protecting space to heal, we can focus on what feels true and begin again when we are ready. Her message is a reminder that returning stronger does not mean proving anything to others.
Lasting strength grows within, through self-trust and the care we give ourselves.

[00:17.89]Hi, people.
[00:19.61]Lynda again, on Rooted&Real.
[00:23.21]We’re doing a topic on how to disappear
and come back stronger.
[00:30.45]This second episode is going to be about
heal in private,
[00:35.85]basically ‘Healing in Private’.
[00:38.61]Everyone wants to show how they’re
healing, posting quotes, crying on live,
[00:42.97]telling everyone who hurt them.
[00:45.37]But you see, the real
healing happens in private.
[00:50.33]And private healing is ugly.
[00:52.29]There’s no filter, there’s no audience.
It’s just you.
[00:55.61]And the mirror asking,
“How did I end up here?”
[01:00.17]You have to see it with what happened
without trying to make it cute.
[01:07.61]You have to admit, “I was hurt,
but I also allowed some things,
[01:14.37]and I also ignored red flags.”
Healing in private means you stop
[01:19.81]using your pain for attention.
[01:22.33]You start using it for lessons.
[01:25.01]No one needs your journal.
[01:27.01]No one needs to see you praying
‘ati’ (like) at 2:00 AM.
[01:30.21]No one needs to know you
blocked them and cried after.
[01:33.81]Keep it private
because the moment you heal for applause,
[01:39.21]you heal for the wrongest reason,
and you’ll break again
[01:42.45]when the claps stop.
[01:45.01]So ask yourself today,
“What do I need to forgive myself for?
[01:49.81]What do I need to let go
of that I keep replaying?”
[01:54.73]You try and do that work
behind closed doors.
[01:58.13]Let people see the results later
and not the process.
