Letting Go: Part 2…” Broken Relationships!

Letting Go: Part 2

This is the second episode of the miniseries, “Letting Go: Hold On to Memories, Let Go of Pain” in the Lynda: Rooted&Real podcast.

In ‘Letting Go’ Part 2, Lynda explores the theme of broken relationships, addressing the unique grief that comes without closure.

It’s important to remember that the end of a relationship doesn’t diminish your worth; rather, it can serve as a redirection toward new opportunities.

This journey of letting go can be challenging, but it also opens the door to personal growth and self-discovery.

Embrace the change, knowing that you are still deserving of love and connection, even as you navigate the complexities of loss.

[00:00:17.08]Hello, this is Lynda with Rooted&Real, and today we are handling the second
[00:00:25.97]episode of ‘Letting Go’ with Letting Go of Broken Relationships. Breakups hurts, and
[00:00:38.60]I’m not just saying romantic ones, yeah? Even friendships that go cold, family that cuts you
[00:00:48.05]off because of some disagreement, and partners who stop choosing you.
[00:00:58.20]It’s actually grief without a funeral. You’re mourning someone who’s still alive.
[00:01:08.52]And that’s confusing. One day they’re your person, and the next day they’re a stranger
[00:01:18.20]with your memories. It’s not always your fault. Let’s get this straight. Not every ending means
[00:01:30.37]you’ve failed. Sometimes people outgrow each other. Sometimes love just isn’t enough to fix broken
[00:01:40.29]partners. And funny enough, sometimes letting go is the love. You can love someone and still
[00:01:53.32]release them. Holding on too tight will crush both of you, so it’s time to let go.
[00:02:05.16]But how do we do it? First, stop replaying the last conversation.
[00:02:14.60]Closure is rarely a speech, yeah? Closure is a decision you make for yourself.
[00:02:20.91]Secondly, grieve the future, not just the past.
[00:02:29.88]It doesn’t make sense, eh? Okay, here it is. You’re not just losing them. You’re losing the plans,
[00:02:38.35]the what-ifs. Cry for that too, yeah? And lastly, return
[00:02:48.03]what is not yours. And you know what’s not yours? Their anger, their silence,
[00:02:55.72]their version of the story. Give it back to them. You only carry what’s yours.
[00:03:02.75]And you know what’s yours? Your peace and your growth.
[00:03:08.20]Letting go of someone doesn’t mean they didn’t matter. It means you matter too.
[00:03:19.07]If your heart is heavy because someone left, I SEE YOU.
[00:03:28.52]Take your time. Feel messy if you have to, but don’t beg people to stay where they’ve already
[00:03:39.00]left. You’re not unlovable just because it ended. You’re just being redirected.
[00:03:48.83]So again, thanks for listening. And remember, make a comment, give me your story, follow,
[00:03:56.45]subscribe. And next time, we’ll talk about letting go of projects that just didn’t work out.
